Szarek construction started back in the 1930's with Stanley Szarek. Stanley started building homes and selling them to the average income household's. In the 1980's Stanley passed away and his two sons took over the family business continuing on his legacy. After Stanley passed Joe and Ed focused on concrete work mainly and stopped building homes. Joe and Ed ran the family business until about 2002 when Ed retired. During this period Joe's two sons, helped occasionally when they were not in school or out playing sports. Around late 2000 Brian(Joe's youngest son) joined up with his dad and to this day the two operate together to keep the family business going. In 2007 The two started building homes agian while they still continue to do concrete work. The homes they build are agian focused on the middle income household retaing a sell price on the homes around the 200,000's. They have built and sold three homes in the last three years.
